Your work is ready for proofreading only when it’s been through all the other levels of editing, you’ve done all the revisions you’re going to do, and you’re 100 percent happy with it. At that point, I’ll read every word of your manuscript to eliminate grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors, ensure your writing is clear, and as free as possible of any remaining errors, and make sure the final product is ready for publication.
